Jonesville Woman Arrested on Drug Charges

On the morning of Sunday, May 2, 2021, at about 1:15 AM, an LPSO Deputy spotted a female leaned over into a dumpster off of Hwy 84, East of Jena. The deputy walked up to the female who was identified as Macy Mills, 23, of Jonesville, as she put her hands inside her jacket pockets, and turned away.
When the Deputy asked Mills for an ID she became defensive, saying that she was doing nothing wrong. Mills was unable to produce an ID, and denied having anything illegal inside of her vehicle. An LPSO K-9 Deputy arrived on scene and utilized his K-9 partner “Drako” for a search of the vehicle which yielded a positive alert. Further search of the truck revealed drug paraphernalia, along with suspected methamphetamine. Mills was arrested and transported to the LaSalle Parish Jail for booking.
Once Mills arrived to LPSO for booking, upon search of the backseat of the Deputy's unit, a plastic baggie containing suspected methamphetamine was located. When Mills was asked about the baggie, she advised that it could have been hers.
Mills was booked on charges of Possession of CDS II methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
