On the evening of Friday, June 3, 2022, the LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Chelsea Norris, 29, of Jena, after finding illegal narcotics following a traffic stop on Highway 127 in Jena. During interaction with Norris, Deputies asked about the presence of illegal substances, to which she stated that there was not.
 
Deputies obtained consent to search, and during a search of Norris a small clear plastic baggie containing a brown powdery substance suspected to be heroin was found on her person. Norris admitted that that it was heroin and was arrested.

Norris was booked into the LaSalle Parish Jail for possession of CDS I heroin.
