On Monday, July 4, 2022, LPSO deputies responded to Good Pine Middle School in reference to a break-in. After reviewing surveillance footage, Deputies identified the person responsible as being Dexter Savage, 47, of Jena.
 
Savage busted out the bottom glass of a rear door and made entry into the school. It was determined that Savage was inside the school approximately eight minutes and left through a rear door. About ten minutes later, he returned and again made entry into the school through the broken rear glass. Savage continued inside the school and broke a bottom door vent, making entry into the Nursing/Medical room.
 
An arrest warrant was obtained, and Savage was arrested the following day. He was booked on charges of Criminal Trespass and criminal damage to property.
