LPSO Deputies Seize Over 5 Oz. of Cocaine with other Narcotics

During the early morning hours of Friday, August 8, 2021, LPSO Deputies, along with the Urania Police Department, responded to a residence on Horseshoe Loop in Urania, after receiving a complaint of a domestic incident.

At the residence Deputies identified Alvin Conaler, Jr., 49, of Columbia, inside of the home, along with Katherine Bishop, 28, of Urania, as being a resident.  While on scene, a large quantity of suspected cocaine was discovered in the master bathroom of the room that Conaler, Jr., and Bishop were residing. A further search of the room revealed a large sum of oxycodone pills, a handgun, several more baggies of suspected cocaine, along with numerous other types of medication.  
Deputies collected over five ounces of cocaine, over 300 oxycodone pills, and numerous other types of medication, totaling an approximate street value of $25,000. During the investigation it was found that Alvin Conaler, Jr., was a convicted felon and unable to possess a firearm.

Alvin Conaler, Jr., was arrested on charges of possession of CDS II Cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of CDS II Oxycodone with intent to distribute, possession of CDS IV Tramadol, possession of CDS IV clonazepam, possession of CDS IV Aprazolam, 6 counts of possession of a Legend Drug, possession of a firearm with CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, domestic abuse batter with strangulation, false imprisonment, obstruction of justice, possession of firearm by convicted felon, and illegal carrying of a weapon (brass knuckles).

Katherine Bishop was charged with possession of CDS II cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of CDS II oxycodone with intent to distribute, possession of CDS IV Tramadol, possession of CDS IV clonazepam, 6 counts of possession of a Legend Drug, possession of firearm with CDS, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
