Training and Physical Fitness Standards

All employees with the exception of Clerical and Communications will have to complete the Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) in order to become POST certified. CLICK HERE to view pre-employment physical fitness standards, testing will be administered to determine your current physical fitness. Failure to meet the minimum standards will result with application being placed as inactive. Failure to pass POST requirements after employment may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.

Do you understand that if you voluntarily eave the employment of the LaSalle Parish Sheriff's Office within one year after completion of POST training, you may be required to reimburse the Sheriff's Office for the cost of your tuition?
