On Tuesday, June 8, 2021, LPSO Detectives went to a residence on Cowart Street in Jena to arrest Velma Rison on charges of distribution of illegal narcotics. Once detectives arrived, they were met by Velma Rison, 37, of Jena, along with Michael Cameron, 49, of Jonesville. Detectives advised Rison that she was being arrested, and during conversation she informed them of more narcotics being inside the home.
